The Mangrove Jacks traditional series workingmans stout is a hearty and robust beer that is perfect for those who appreciate a rich, full-bodied flavor. The beer has a smooth and creamy texture, with notes of chocolate, coffee, and caramel. The finish is slightly bitter, but this is well-balanced by the sweetness of the malt. The beer has a medium to high alcohol content, making it a great choice for sipping after a long day. Overall, the Mangrove Jack’s Workingmans Stout is a well-crafted beer that is sure to please those who enjoy bold and flavorful stouts.

Additional Fermentables Required:
For a basics brew use Liquid Brewing Sugar for a light body with a crisp and clean finish. For a rich, full-bodied mouthfeel with enhanced head retention and smooth finish use Dextrose Premium Blend Full.
or
Mangrove Jacks 1.5KG Dark Liquid Malt will give you a full body with a rich malt profile.
Making a higher ABV brew.
If you want to make a high ABV brew we would suggest 1.5KG of Dark Liquid Malt + 1KG Liquid Brewing Sugar.
We do not suggest using the premium dextrose blends in conjunction with liquid malt extract.
Premium Yeast Options:
The Mangrove Jacks Irish Stout does come with yeast. Selecting a premium yeast can give you more flexibility when brewing in ambient temperatures and can improve the quality of your final product or support unique flavour characteristics. Two yeasts that are well suited to stouts are the Mangrove Jacks M42 Strong Ale Yeast or the M15 Empire Ale Yeast.
Food Matches:
Looking for a food match? The Mangrove Jacks Workingmans Stout Goes Well With…
1. Venison Pie: Gamey richness pairs perfectly with the beer’s dark fruit and roasted malt depth.
2. Classic Steak served with Jus: The stout’s berry notes complement the sauce, while the roast balances the meat’s sear.
3. Sticky BBQ Ribs: Sweet and smoky ribs are lifted by the beer’s dark chocolate bitterness and smooth malt backbone.
4. Slow Cooked Lamb Shanks: A full-bodied dish that matches the stout’s strength, especially with a red wine or prune glaze.
5. Chocolate Brownie: Rich, fudgy brownie meets the beer’s roasty malt and dark chocolate notes for a decadent pairing.
