Additional Fermentables Required:
For a basics brew use Liquid Brewing Sugar for a light body with a crisp and clean finish. For a rich, full-bodied mouthfeel with enhanced head retention and smooth finish use Dextrose Premium Blend Full.
or
Mangrove Jacks 1.5KG Dark Liquid Malt will give you a full body with a rich malt profile.
Making a higher ABV brew.
If you want to make a high ABV brew we would suggest 1.5KG of Dark Liquid Malt + 1KG Liquid Brewing Sugar.
We do not suggest using the premium dextrose blends in conjunction with liquid malt extract.
Premium Yeast Options:
The Mangrove Jacks Irish Stout does come with yeast. Selecting a premium yeast can give you more flexibility when brewing in ambient temperatures and can improve the quality of your final product or support unique flavour characteristics. Two yeasts that are well suited to stouts are the Mangrove Jacks M42 Strong Ale Yeast or the M15 Empire Ale Yeast.
