Home Brew Republic Recipe Pack – Easy Breaker Pacific Pale Ale
Easy Breaker is your ultimate laid-back session brew — crafted for beach days, chilled weekends, and those “just one more” kind of afternoons. Light, smooth, and subtly citrusy, this Pacific Pale Ale is easy to make and even easier to enjoy.
This recipe pack is built on the Brick Road Classic Pacific Pale Ale as the base, delivering a clean malt profile with gentle bitterness. To smooth things out and lighten the body, we’ve added extra light dry malt extract, giving it a crisp finish without compromising on mouthfeel.
We’ve kept the hop additions modest — just 15g of Citra hops, added at flameout, to bring a whisper of citrus and tropical fruit aroma without overpowering the brew. It’s a subtle nod to modern pale ale character, ideal for drinkers who like balance over bite.
Fermentation is powered by Mangrove Jack’s M66 Hophead Ale Yeast, which brings out the best in your hops while staying clean and neutral — letting the malt and Citra combo shine through.
The result? A 4.2% ABV Pale Ale that’s smooth, easy, and endlessly drinkable. Easy Breaker is your go-to fridge-filler for casual sipping and effortless good times.

Special Instructions for Brewing This Recipe:
- Follow brewing instructions included with the Brick Road Pacific Pale Ale
- When mixing in fermenter fill to 19litres total volume.
- Pitch the Mangrove Jacks Yeast with the Yeast Nutrient.
- Add Dry Hops on day three or four of fermentation
- We would suggest only adding 20-30 grams of hops for this brew for a subtle hop character.Â
- When dry hopping take measures to protect the brew from hop particals. Where brewers cannot cold crash prior to bottling or kegging we suggest using a hop sock.
- When bottling best practise is to rack off into a bottling bucket using a syphon.
- Bottle condition for 10-14 days in a cool dry place. The hop flavours in this brew will be best when drunk between two and four weeks.
