Still Spirits Classic 8 Turbo Yeast is a high-performance yeast and nutrient blend, designed for versatility and consistent results. Whether you’re chasing maximum alcohol yield or a fast ferment, Classic 8 delivers smooth, clean-tasting neutral spirit thanks to its balanced formulation and mineral absorbents.


Variation 1: Still Spirits Classic 8 Turbo Yeast (273 g)

Description:
Perfect for distillers who already have Turbo Carbon and Turbo Clear on hand. Formulated to ferment 8 kg (17.6 lb) of Turbo Sugar for maximum ABV, or 6 kg (13.2 lb) of Turbo Sugar for faster results.

Fermentation Times:

  • 6 kg Turbo Sugar: 3 days at 18°C (64°F) / 2 days at 30°C (86°F)

  • 8 kg Turbo Sugar: 10 days at 16°C (61°F) / 5 days at 25°C (77°F)

Yields (T500 Reflux Condenser):

  • 6 kg Turbo Sugar: ~3.7 L @ 93% ABV

  • 8 kg Turbo Sugar: ~4.5 L @ 93% ABV

Instructions:

  1. Clean and sanitise all equipment.

  2. Prepare 21 L (5.5 US Gal) of water at the correct start temperature.

  3. Dissolve sugar fully before adding yeast and Turbo Carbon.

Ingredients: Yeast nutrients, dried yeast (yeast, emulsifier (E491)), bentonite, vitamins, trace minerals, antifoaming agent.


Variation 2: Still Spirits Classic 8 Turbo Pack

Description:
A complete fermentation pack for high-quality neutral spirit, including Classic 8 Turbo Yeast, Turbo Carbon, and Turbo Clear. Designed for distillers who want the convenience of having all the core consumables in one pack.

What’s Included:

  • 1 x Classic 8 Turbo Yeast (240 g)

  • 1 x Turbo Clear (130 g)

  • 1 x Turbo Carbon (130 g)

Fermentation Times & Yields: Same as above.

Instructions:

  1. Clean and sanitise all equipment.

  2. Prepare 20 L (5.3 US Gal) for 8 kg sugar or 21 L (5.5 US Gal) for 6 kg sugar at the correct start temperature.

  3. Add sugar and stir until completely dissolved. Add yeast and Turbo Carbon.

  4. Turbo Clear Part A: Once fermentation is complete, degas wash, stir in Part A, leave 1 hour.

  5. Turbo Clear Part B: Add gently to top, do not stir vigorously. Leave to clear for 24 hours before siphoning.

Ingredients:

  • Classic 8 Turbo Yeast: dried yeast, yeast nutrients, bentonite, antifoaming agent, vitamins, trace minerals.

  • Turbo Clear: water, silica solution, acid (malic acid), chitosan (crustaceans), preservative (sodium metabisulphite).

  • Turbo Carbon: water, activated carbon, xanthan gum, preservative (sodium metabisulphite).

IMPORTANT: Allergens: Contains sulphites and crustaceans.
