SafCider AS-2 (Sweet)

AS-2 is your go-to strain for producing ciders with a sweet, full-bodied mouthfeel and layered fruit complexity. It enhances both fresh apple and cooked fruit notes (think applesauce), resulting in a cider that feels rich, soft, and approachable.

AB-1 is all about balance. It delivers a clean fermentation with restrained ester production, allowing the natural apple character to sit front and centre without overpowering complexity.

Usage:

Suggested dosage is 1 packet (5g) for a total volume of 15-23 litres.

Manufacturers specification is 20 to 30 g/hl which translates to 4.6 g to 6.9 g for your 23L brew. For a stronger fermentation you can elect to partially use a second packet to increase volume of yeast in the brew.
